Update: 1 Day Acuvue Trueye has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is unavailable from 1 July 2022. Some powers will be in stock after this date - if you see your power in the power drop down list, then you can still order. We recommend Acuvue Oasys with Hydraluxe Technology contact lenses as a replacement.
Johnson and Johnson's latest generation of Acuvue daily contact lenses is the 1-DAY ACUVUE TruEye. This advanced lens combines the benefits of more oxygen transmission (98%) with the highest UV protection (96% of UVA and 100% UVB blocked) to bring you a contact lens that can be worn comfortably and safely each day and then be thrown away.
The TruEye contact lens is a world first for incorporating a new generation silicone into a daily lens, the result is a contact lens that lets almost 100% of the oxygen in the air to your eye. 1 Day Acuvue TruEye also has a high volume of moisture rich wetting agent embedded in the lens, making the lens ultra smooth for all day comfort and an ideal solution in our digital world where extra screen time can cause dry eyes.

Once they are in and settled I forget I'm wearing them. Much like the 'Moist' version I used before, I can happily leave them in for days at a time, but I think I must have very moist eyeballs as I've never really experienced the problems described by others. So comfortable that they have saved me a fortune as I'm averaging about a pair a fortnight. I can't comment on the competitors as a comparison, as I've used Acuvue from day one.
I've tried a few different brands and types in the past, and have found that these are the only ones that sit comfortably on my eyes for long durations without drying out or becoming painful - for example, I find them significantly more comfortable than Acuvue Moist. They have been life changing in that respect. However, as with all things, there are a couple of negatives - they are pretty expensive, and sometimes the lenses are misshapen and can't be used. They seem to have improved a lot recently on that latter point - I'd say the "reject" rate is about 1 lens in about 100, which isn't great, but is a lot better than it used to be (c.2 rejects in every box), and as I say, the lenses are so comfortable that I can forgive them this minor transgression!
I've used these lenses for a few years and they are comfortable and last all day without drying out. I use them for in the office and out and about walking the dogs and cope great. Easy to take in and out without too much trouble unlike some other brands.
I have been wearing contacts for years and these are by far the most comfortable I have ever used. My eyes stay fresh and moist all day long, which is important when you are an office worker in an air conditioned environment using digital devices all day long. I wear them from early morning to late at night and have never suffered from dry eyes. Truly a remarkable product!
I have been using contactlenses.co.uk for several years and really happy with the service. I have tried lots of daily lenses and have been wearing them for over 15 years. The Acuvue TruEye are the best I have found so far as they ae really soft and you don't know you are wearing them. Would recommend them.
I’ve been buying these contact lenses for over 8 years. I’m lucky enough that my prescription hasn’t changed. They are so easy to use and comfortable on the eye. I tried a few, including Specsavers contact lenses but these ones are far more invisible on my eye.
I've been through a range of different brands and I've found the 1 Day Acuvue ideal for myself as I'm able to wear them for many hours without getting dry/tired eyes. The quality of the lenses has been consistently good, and the ease of having single-use lenses makes them ideal for my lifestyle.
I sometimes find the misshapen lenses that others have referred to but if you put them in anyway once in your eye the lens recovers its normal shape and there is no problem with them.
What I find more annoying (but this has happened with all the lenses I have tried) is when you open the pack and find the lens inside out, and then you have to manipulate it with your fingers to get it the right way round which makes the lens dirty before you even put it in your eye. The manufacturers really should address this because the whole point of daily lenses is that you don't have to clean them so I don't usually even have saline to rinse them and normally just throw the inside out ones away.
